Verve, a Credit Union, was recently named one of 2020 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For® National Winners and earned a spot on the 2020 Best and Brightest in Wellness® list administered by the National Association for Business Resources (NABR). The top scoring 101 applicants from the year are honored with the 2020 National Winner recognition.
In addition to being named to the 2020 National Winner list, Verve was also named to the 2019 National Best and Brightest Companies to Work For® and 2019 Best and Brightest in Wellness® lists.
“We strive to not only be a top-choice employer for job seekers within our branch network, but also in the nation, and it means so much to see our name alongside so many great employers. It fills us with pride that it was our team members’ feedback that put us on the list,” said Karrie Drobnick, chief marketing + strategy officer at Verve. “Our strategy in making Verve a workplace of choice starts with prioritizing our team through a robust recruitment and onboarding process, continuous access to training and development opportunities and a host of health and wellness resources to support our team members.”
Companies are nominated and selected based on a lengthy self-assessment completed by the nominees and anonymous surveys sent to their team members. Verve was evaluated on a variety of categories, including: compensation, benefits/employee solutions, employee enrichment, engagement/retention, employee education/development, recruitment, selection/orientation, employee achievement/recognition, communication/shared vision, diversity/inclusion, work-life balance, community initiatives, and strategic company performance.
“Diversity, empowerment and enrichment opportunities are integral to Verve’s culture,” said Kevin Ralofsky, president and CEO of Verve. “Our team members feel fulfilled by the work they are accomplishing both within the walls of Verve and in our greater community. They know they’re making a lasting impact and that leads to more engaged team members, and in turn, better service for our members.”
Demonstrating the Best and Brightest Programs’ mission of “Better Business, Richer Lives, Stronger Communities,” Verve is being recognized for its ongoing commitment to exhibiting sound business practices, empowering employee enrichment, and positively impacting the surrounding community. In addition to offering servant leadership training and an award-winning wellness program, Verve is well known in the community for its acts of kindness known as Random Acts of Verve.
“Providing truly memorable service experiences to our credit union members starts with an investment in the team members we employ and the communities we serve,” Ralofsky said. “Being recognized in this way reassures me that our team members feel valued and supported and, as a result, Verve will continue to thrive as a business and a servant leader.”
Verve will be honored during the virtual Best and Brightest National Summit weeklong celebration in the spring of 2021. This is Verve’s second time earning a spot on both the National Winners and Best and Brightest in Wellness® lists.
