Our Random Acts of Verve crew has been at it again, popping up throughout the communities we serve to share a healthy dose of kindness. Take a look to see the creative ways our team members have been sharing the love.
Caring for those who care in Neenah.
Going beyond simply taking care of medical needs, nurses take time to listen, understand, explain what’s happening, hold a hand and provide comfort during often emotional and challenging times. They also work 12-hour shifts and go hours without taking a break to ensure their patients are cared for, which is why team members from our Bell Street branch wanted to surprise nurses at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Neenah with baskets full of goodies. They packed six baskets with tasty and healthy snacks, cocoa, tea, iced tea, apple cider, hair ties, floss, nail files, gum and more to give nurses a boost during their 12-hour shifts. They also included handwritten notes thanking the nurses for all they do and got to spend a few minutes with nurses on six floors at ThedaCare.
A slice of kindness in Holmen.
Team members from our Holmen branch surprised patrons at Papa Murphy’s Pizza on Amy Drive by giving them cash to use toward their purchases. Talk about a good day!
A fun-filled visit to Stoddard Elementary in De Soto.
Team members from our South Avenue branch in La Crosse surprised teachers and students at Stoddard Elementary School with much needed playground equipment. We loved seeing the smiles on kids’ faces when they saw the piles of new hula hoops, balls, jump ropes and more.
Because Community is one of our seven guiding Cooperative Principles, Verve loves lifting community members’ spirits through unique (and sometimes surprising) efforts. Performing Random Acts of Verve is just one way our team members help create a strong community built on kindness.
