Filing a tax return? Direct deposit is the best and fastest way to get your tax refund into your Verve account. Whether you make use of a tax preparer or file on your own, you can avoid inconvenient processing errors and delays by double-checking that your account entry is correct.
Even if you already have automatic transactions coming into your account, it’s worth verifying your account and routing numbers in online banking before you file your taxes. Using incorrect numbers could cause your tax refund to be deposited into someone else’s account or rejected. If rejected, the IRS or state will send your check via snail mail, which means delayed access to your refund.
To verify that you are using the correct account information:
- Log into online banking and select your designated account. Your partial account number (the last six digits) will be displayed.
- Click on the “eye” icon to view your full account number.
If you need help verifying your account information, call 800.448.9228 and select option 4. A team member will be happy to assist you.
IMPORTANT: Never share your account information with anyone asking for it unexpectedly or if you are not able to verify the legitimacy of their request. When in doubt, stop the interaction and contact Verve.
