OSHKOSH, Wisconsin (Feb. 6, 2019) – Verve, a Credit Union, made the National Association for Business Resources’ (NABR) 2019 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For® (Milwaukee) list. The list celebrates companies who are making better business, creating richer lives and building stronger communities.
Companies are nominated for the nationwide list, which is awarded by region, and are selected based on a lengthy self-assessment completed by the nominees and anonymous surveys sent to their team members. Verve was evaluated on a variety of categories, including: compensation, benefits/employee solutions, employee enrichment, engagement/retention, employee education/development, recruitment, selection/orientation, employee achievement/recognition, communication/shared vision, diversity/inclusion, work-life balance, community initiatives, and strategic company performance.
“Our culture is at the heart of all we do, and we’ve been intentional about building and sustaining a servant-leadership culture to help each team member serve with passion and enthusiasm,” Sarah Fecht, vice president of talent management at Verve, said. “Through their evaluations, our team members showed us they believe in what we are doing, which really fuels us to continuously improve our culture.”
Verve’s servant-led culture is built on a comprehensive approach to team member development, going beyond simply focusing on job duties.
“We invest in our team members’ success by offering an environment that supports the whole person—on a professional and personal level—to help them unlock their potential, find their passion and challenge the status quo,” Kevin Ralofsky, president and CEO of Verve, said. “We know that a highly-engaged team is inspired to do great things—a difference our members feel through our energetic service—and we’re so happy to see our team members agree.”
Unique aspects of Verve’s work environment include servant leadership training, an award-winning wellness program, casual attire days to raise money for charity and opportunities to participate in acts of kindness in the community known as Random Acts of Verve.
Verve will be honored at the Best and Brightest Companies to Work For symposium and awards gala on Friday, March 8, 2019, at The Wisconsin Club in Milwaukee.
