While the colder weather surely has some of our members in a “bah-humbug” mood, the cooler temps just mean we’re donning Santa hats and winter coats as we spread cheer and goodwill throughout our communities. Last month we shared the love with hot chocolate, cupcakes (is there ever a bad time for cupcakes?) and more.
Providing a cup of joy to local crossing guards.
As the temperature drops, the layers of clothes we pile on increases, which is enough to make most of us trade in outdoor activities for indoor activities that keep us warm and cozy. But that’s not the case for the crossing guards who brave all elements to provide a safe route to school for children. Team members from our Brillion branch visited all of the crossing guards in the Brillion School District to say thank you and give out Verve mugs stocked with hot cocoa, coffee, candy and Chamber Bucks. We even had a few extras that we handed out so the crossing guards could perform a Random Act of Verve of their own. It warmed our hearts to see how happy and appreciative everyone was.
Two-times the holiday cheer with cupcakes and salon services.
Our Witzel Avenue branch visited Tamara’s the Cake Guru in Oshkosh to make their customers’ day even sweeter by paying for their tasty treats. Verve team members also visited Sublime Hair Studio to spread cheer by paying for salon services for their clients.
Because community is one of our seven guiding Cooperative Principles, Verve loves paying it forward to lift spirits and help grow kindness—one smile, coffee mug and cupcake at a time.
