Changing the world and making people’s days brighter with small acts of kindness is woven into the fabric of who we are. That’s why participating in a day dedicated to just that—Pay It Forward Day—on Saturday, April 28 was a perfect fit for Verve.

Showing our appreciation with a tasty surprise.
Firefighters put their lives on the line each time the bell rings. They run to put on their gear and race to emergency scenes going well beyond simply putting out fires—they save lives, families and communities.
“We wanted to use Pay It Forward Day 2018 to thank the members of our communities who sacrifice their own safety to ensure ours,” Mitchell Michiels, cooperative outreach specialist at Verve, said. “Team members from our 15 branches throughout Wisconsin surprised our local fire departments by bringing them lunch, and I’m not sure who enjoyed it more—the firefighters or our team members!”
The Verve team delivered sub sandwiches, cookies and more to fire stations in La Crosse, Holmen, Onalaska, Oshkosh, Brillion, Two Rivers, Harrison and Fond du Lac to name a few.
Take a look at a few of the fire stations Verve visited on Pay It Forward Day.
While Pay It Forward Day may be over, that doesn’t mean the fun of surprising people and igniting happiness throughout the community has to stop. Whether it’s paying for a cup of coffee, dropping off donuts at a local organization or even helping a neighbor carry in groceries, we want to know, how will YOU spread some love—or shall we say Random Acts of Verve—throughout the community?
