Semicentennial, quinquagenary, golden jubilee—whatever you call it, head to the east shore of Lake Winnebago for the Village of Sherwood’s 50th Anniversary Celebration Saturday, August 18 and Sunday, August 19.
Semicentennial, quinquagenary, golden jubilee—whatever you call it, head to the east shore of Lake Winnebago for the Village of Sherwood’s 50th Anniversary Celebration Saturday, August 18 and Sunday, August 19.
The festivities kick off at Wanick Choute Park (W4687 Castle Drive) around 2 p.m. on Saturday with performances by bluegrass band Red Star Express, blues and jazz band Big Mouth and The Power Tool Horns, and rock ‘n’ roll party group Spicy Tie Band. On Sunday, Echoes of Camp Randall (also known as the UW Marching Band) kicks off the day at noon, with an afternoon filled with music, mini golf, a giant connect four game, a petting zoo, balloon creations and more.
Watch for our orange shirts and fun photo props.
Verve will be there with yard games and a photo booth from 2 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, August 19. We’re also sponsoring the final concert of the evening—Vic Ferrari—so watch for us on stage at 4 p.m. as we infuse some energy and enthusiasm (and a few beach balls) into the crowd.
Community involvement is really important to us, and we’re always looking for energetic and enthusiastic ways to give back. What better opportunity than Village of Sherwood’s 50th Anniversary Celebration!
