In September and October, Verve helped three Oshkosh high schools—Lourdes Academy, Oshkosh West and Oshkosh North—boost school spirit during their homecoming celebrations.

In September and October, Verve helped three Oshkosh high schools—Lourdes Academy, Oshkosh West and Oshkosh North—boost school spirit during their homecoming celebrations. In true Verve fashion, our team members, along with the Verve cuBe, added an extra element of fun for students and community members alike.

Lourdes Homecoming Picnic – Friday, September 23
Each year, the Lourdes homecoming “picnic” in front of the school features face painting, a dunk tank, a photo booth and other activities. Verve added to the fun with music and yard games and handed out orange sunglasses, beach balls and drawstring backpacks. And, fall wouldn’t be complete without a little pumpkin spice coffee, which we served to adults at the picnic.

Oshkosh West Homecoming Parade – Friday, October 4
We were honored when Oshkosh West asked us to participate as a guest in their parade. To say thanks, we showed up early while the high schoolers were putting their floats together and handed out free hot chocolate with marshmallows to students. We also helped get fans pumped before the big game with music from the cuBe.

Oshkosh North Homecoming Parade & Tailgate – Friday, October 14
We were proud to sponsor Oshkosh North’s tailgate this year and participate in the parade. We decked out the cuBe truck for the Haunted Homecoming theme and served up orange dream floats once we arrived at Titan field. Students and fans also had a blast playing Verve yard games while tailgating before the game.

A Touchdown for a Tight-Knit Community

Participating in homecoming events like these is all about creating memorable experiences that bring our community together. One of our guiding 7 Cooperative Principles, Community doesn’t just refer to our community of members. As a credit union, we have a responsibility to all of our neighbors, young and old, members or not. The better we can all work together as a team, well, that’s a win-win for everyone.
