Are there any fees on debit/credit card transactions made in other states or countries?

There are no fees for transactions in other U.S. states, but there is a 1% (in U.S. dollars) foreign transaction fee from MasterCard for all non-U.S. transactions to help convert the money spent in a foreign currency to U.S. dollars.
